Big feelings
What to practice after big feelings
After a hard moment, children may need repair, rest, and one small next step rather than a long lesson.

SocialQuest AI is an educational practice app. It does not diagnose or replace professional support.
Start with regulation
When feelings are big, learning is harder. A drink, quiet space, movement, or fewer words may help before talking about what happened.
Repair can be small
Repair might sound like, 'I am sorry I grabbed it. Can we try again?' It does not need to be a long speech. Short, concrete words are often enough.
Replay later
A story mission can help replay the moment later, when the child's body feels safer. The aim is to notice choices and try one helpful action next time.
